It is estimated that up to 13 million Africans were transported across the Atlantic over a period of about 400 years, to work as slaves, until the trade was abolished in the latter part of the 19th century.
This edition of the programme features music from MOOR MOTHER’s latest album, which she tackles the subject of slavery and specifically the bailout paid by the British government to slave traders, while the enslaved peoples got nothing.
Elsewhere on this edition there’s music from the BUZZCOCKS; the RHYTHM-ITES; LOWELL FULSON and more.
