Plague Tapes #79
We return with good music and an update about the fight against Covid19. The music is the balm, to be applied before or after you get around to dealing with the news. This show we start mellow and glitchy, losing ourselves in the machines, then we drift into hip hop to say our farewell to Madvillain and then we have a little min mix at the end – from the desert to the original gods from the machine – Autechre.
Let’s end with the words of Amanda Gorman from her poem…The Hill We Climb.
For there is always light,
if only we’re brave enough to see it.
If only we’re brave enough to be it.
Watch Amanda Gorman recite her full poem at the Presidential Inaguration.

News: For sometime now, its been bad news and our ten day lag means that we now dealing wiht the drastic consequences of Christmas past. 93 deaths were notifed on Tuesday. 60% of cases are now B117, the new variant which we call the boris variant. The reduction is happening but it appears to have slowed down a bit and there is speculation as to why that is the case, relating to the new Boris variant. It should be noted that people are doing really well in terms of keeping their contacts down to a real minimum. But still there are big issues which have been known to our ‘great leaders’ and which they continually refuse to address such as Quarantine, and implementing measures which reflect that have listened to the science. I wanted to show you this, from Dr. Fauci – as he explains what it is like to have a new boss in the White House.
