Doctor Groove was deeply saddened by the passing of Phife Dawg at the age of 45; a rapper from the group Tribe called Quest. Hence the first half of the show is given over to Tribe Called Quest at the height of their powers in 1991- 93, when they were untouchable.
The show has some funk in it, because we need funk to get you through, and the beat goes on.
