To celebrate World Record Store Day 2013 I thought it would be a great idea to dig out my old vinyl and play a few tracks from the albums that meant something to me…I mean, really meant something, a reminder of a great gig or a party or friends, an album that shared some memories of happy times and sometimes sad times. But what I discovered is that be they happy or sad, the aul vinyl opened up a pandoras box of nostalgia, and I have far too many favourite albums to ever fit within the limit of a one hour show. So, starting with the first album I ever bought (Madness) here are a random selection of music that shaped my life and dragged me through the teenage years and into adulthood. When I listen to these songs, they remind me of people and places and the many happy times when I visited a local record shop and bought a bag full of records. #RDS13
