The Friday Night Club Presents: Saturday Night Tunes for the Lockdown-iversary

One year ago today, Ireland went into lockdown (for 2 weeks).  A year on and a cornucopia of lockdown levels later, we’re still locked down.  So, the theme for tonight’s show is the anniversary of the lockdown and we all had a different take on it.  For Byrneos, the tunes are about waiting and feelings of being stuck, for Derek the tunes are desert island songs he’d take into a lockdown.  For John and Sean, their picks are a combination of those two ideas.  As always there’s loads of chats about all sorts and a couple of hours of crackin’ tunes.

Tune in for (in the following order):

The Ruts, Poison Idea, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, The Buzzcocks, The Undertones, Stiff Little Fingers, Camera Silens, Cock Sparrer, Criminal Damage, Career Suicide, The Night Birds, The Regulations, The Chimers, Nation of Ghosts, The Saints, The Damned, The Dead Kennedys, No Means No, The Dead Boys, Dirty Fences, Radioactivity, Jay Reatard, The Exploding Hearts, Crass, Fugazi, Ballast, The Gits, The Wipers, The Dogs, Entombed, Oasis, The Surfing Surfers, Rixe, Tragedy, Camera Silens
