And a nod to my absolute favourite Irish act of the last 10 years, Gavin Glass, he’s had solo stuff and also tours with Lisa Hannigan. If you get a chance check out his 2007 album, Gavin Glass & The Holy Shakers, a gorgeous smoky gospel bluesy collection which is still on regular rotation in Madigan Towers. Ditto The Flaws, Roesy, David Hopkins, Alphastates, Juno falls… Of particular note, The River Cry, new solo project from Hillary from JJ72. Very subtle, check it out
