Dr. Groove brings you a show with music for Michael K Williams, the actor who brought Omar in our lives through The Wire.If you have not seen this series, then take the time to do an undergraduate course in sociology whilst looking at the layers and intersections that make up modern life in a collapsing system. It’s brilliant, and justifiably hailed as the the best of TV.
We start off with a tribute paid to him by his fellow actor [Bunk] Wendell Pierce.
Omar Little – The Wire
How you expect to run with the wolves come night, when you spend all day sporting wit’ the pupplies? Omar [The Wire]
News: Andrew tells us about the uncertain period which is this coming out of the Covid. The facts are that we are in a unique position, being highly vaccinated, 90% of Adults, and also have a huge incidence rate of 443 per 100,000 which has us leading the EU.So whilst 14 day and 4 day avearages are coming down, we still have the issue of what do we do with the under 12’s who are back in school and can only develop immunity though getting it.How is this going to work -> and what are the costs.Press conferences are not happening and is there a strategy which looks at this and why is it not being dealt with or discussed. Is it that discussion would lead to disuption of the narrative that we are ‘coming out of this’ ?These are the questions and debates that one should have in civic society but they would rather treat you like children.
