Today mark’s St Brigid’s Day. It is a day in which we honour women. Whilst here in Ireland we are trying to enjoy the first Bank Holiday weekend of the year, for many in the world there’s little to cheer. This edition of the programme is dedicated to all the brave women – and the wider population – of Iran who are suffering terribly at this time. We at home need to show more compassion to those fleeing from despotic regimes around the world and not shun immigrants, as we see in other countries.
