• Radioactive International is a collective of like-minded people who are passionate about their music, art and politics. We are a free-form radio station with no set formats, playlists or genres. We have nearly 40 DJs playing a varied mixture of alternative music from punk, metal, ska, reggae and historical recordings. Our main rule? No fascists, racists, sexists, homophobes or religious presenters. We broadcast online, but also transmit live from gigs and festivals. Expect to hear about lefty music, politics and art. A motto of the station is that we’re not here to break the law with an illegal radio station just to play bland pop music available on many of the state and corporate stations.

Groove On The Wireless #45 Electro-ed

I am electro – I listen to Radioactive.  And Dr. Groove is electro-ed – which is what happens when you go to Electric picnic and get back at 2am and do this show the next night.

The Doctor returned a little bedraggled [Great word] from Electric picnic and he has some tales to tell, but was so tired that he wasn’t really capable of much coherency so instead, he played good music.

The good music we have this week is influenced by the people we saw and the places we went (a big field and forest in Laois) and I hope you enjoy it.

The Wu stories will have to wait till another time but they involve knives, gargle, shabazz the disciple,  DJ Noize, and a legend plain and simple of the Irish scene known as Mek.
