This show finds the Doctor in a philosophical mood as he contemplates the big questions around purpose, existence and what it means to live a life. This determines the starting point, Van Morrison was played at the funeral that the Doctor attended that afternoon, the father of good friends and it set him a thinking. And it Stoned me is one of them songs that I find myself singing for no particular reason, but it ingrains itself into you.
When all is said and done, we spend a lot of our time striving in this life, and often we forget it is a trip. Take the pleasures in quiet moments staring out the passenger window and being at one with what you’ve done and what you might do. For alas, it appears all too fleeting, so enjoy the ride.
