84 – and George Orwell choose that year, 1984 to set his love story in a totalitarian nightmare, and as I young buck growing up that story had a formative influence on the young Doctor. So it felt appropriate to create an alternate soundtrack, and not the awful one that the Eurythmics came up with.
After that stuff, we just needed some thing uplifting and that’s how we end this show.
